![]() ![]() it was that the pace of evolving technology outpaced Disney's ability to showcase it before it became obsolete. I know I’ll come back over the next few years, but I feel like Disney is a boyfriend that cheated on me - and I’m not sure I’ll ever love him as much again, or want as many dates. They are icing on a cake for folks that can afford it - but I do NOT want my core experiences / memories to be that. Because it seems they used that data to interpret that the public wants to be nickel-and-dimed (ten-and-twentied) to death.Īnd I feel like through my love for all things Anna and Elsa, they interpreted the data to mean that Epcot needs to be tons of characters and IP. I’m one of the childless gen-x-wing that can afford high end experiences and did indulge with wild open-wallet abandon. But there is just something off the mark about decisions in the last few years that really leaves me. I totally understand that they are out to make money, it’s what they do. I really used to like your videos and for me personally I always try to look at things logically/realistically (apparently not this time lmao, who knew opinions could be wrong :P) but your takes come off as super harsh especially to people that are/were your fans. If I wanted princesses everywhere (which I love tbh) I'd go to Magic Kingdom. :/ I like the message of EPCOT being about humanity, the future, and the world. (ex: Frozen/GOTG/etc.) Another example is A Whole New World being super jarring in EPCOT Forever, I really wanted to try to like it but that ruined the new show for me. While yes I like Disney IPs, I just don't think it fits in EPCOT as a primary focus is all. Look at JRPGs and their localizations or lack thereof for example.) I'm not that blindly stupid. (ex: video games - the general public drives sales, not just the niche/hardcore fans just in terms of pure numbers. While it's my favorite park, I don't think at all the general public is going to want an experience like the "hardcore" fans want at all, and in general that goes for a lot of industries. I've seen you with this take on Twitter as well, and I feel like that's a huuuuge assumption/generalization of EPCOT fans. It'd be the niche of die-hard fans who don't realize that their relatively small and passionate fandom is not representative of what the average guest wants out of a trip to a theme park ![]() All trademarks, service marks, and trade names are proprietary to Disney Enterprises, Inc., its subsidiary, affiliated and related companies, as the case may be.For official Disney information, visit.
